| BISHOP
MICHAEL A. BLUE |
Michael
A Blue is the founding pastor of The
Door of Hope Christian Church, begun
in February of 1992, along with his wife,
Malinda. They and an initial handful of
believers have seen God’s favor
as He has increased the ministry in scope
and effectiveness. Hundreds now claim
DHCC as their home church, and multitudes
more are touched each week through worship
and teaching services, regional radio
broadcasts, audio / video media products,
and other outreaches.
Pastor Blue has a passion for the Kingdom
of God: he believes that, in the words
of Psalm 103:19, “The Lord hath
prepared his throne in the heavens, and
his kingdom ruleth over all.” He
asserts that inasmuch as the Kingdom of
God, i.e. the King and His dominion, was
the pre-eminent theme of the ministry
of the Lord Jesus Christ and of the apostles,
then we, God’s royal heirs, must
earnestly pursue the truths of the Kingdom,
above all else. Pastor Blue believes that
he is called of the Lord to seek and to
proclaim the glad tidings of The Kingdom
of God. (Luke 8:1)
Michael Blue is the presiding prelate
of The Christian Covenant Fellowship of
Ministries (founded December 2000), and
he and Malinda are the parents of Michala
and Michael II. |

| ANTHONY
WALKER |
|
When you hear the silky sounds of Anthony
Walker, it’s easy to understand
why this jazz is called smooth. With hints
of gospel, ragtime, rhythm and blues,
and classical, Anthony’s soulful
sounds are guaranteed to move you to a
place you won’t soon want to leave.
His smooth sophisticated style has been
compared to Herbie Hancock, Joe Sample,
Bobby Lyles, and George Duke. Anthony
began his piano training in his native
St. Paul, Minnesota, at age five, making
his public debut just five years later.
After high school, he studied classically
at Alabama State University. After leaving
Alabama, Anthony moved north to earn his
master’s degree in piano performance
at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Having savored the tastes of three different
American regions, his performances then
took him across the nation and around
the world.
In 2000-2001, Anthony was invited to be
part of the Smithsonian Institution’s
18-month-long exhibit of historic pianos.
As part of this showcase, Anthony played
pianos that had been favored instruments
of artists as diverse as Liberace and
Liszt, plus Duke Ellington, Beethoven
and Mozart.
Anthony resides in the Washington, D.C.,
metropolitan area with his wife, vocalist
Bonita Walker, and their two children.
His service to the community as leader
of the music department at a large area
church and as a mentor/coach to church
music departments internationally helps
him stay connected to his roots.
